Description (Service) |
- call before going if possible, 416-323-6040 or 416-323-6366 (after hours/night)
- emergency room staff and program nurse will decide if patient should be transported to 76 Grenville
- please note that although service is 24 hours, Women's College Hospital does not have a an emergency room
Medical Assessment and Treatment - crisis and emotional support
- testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and drugs that may have been used to commit the assault
- emergency contraceptive options
- collection of medical and legal evidence at request of client
- risk assessment and safety planning; referral to community resources
- follow-up services
