Description and Service Details

Description (Service)

Offer a variety of part-time programs for adults who require upgrading in reading, writing, basic math and essential digital skills for employment, and further education or training.

RSW+ Adult Tutoring program:

  • reading, writing and basic math up to Grade 8 level
  • essential skills for work and further training

CSW Computer Skills for Work program:

  • in-person, instructor-led, small group classes
  • introduction to Windows, MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), file management, email, Internet, and business communications

Sheridan College ACE Academic and Career Entrance program:

  • in partnership with Sheridan College
  • Grade 12 College level OSSD equivalent courses in English, Math, Biology and Chemistry
  • prepare for college entrance or Mature Student Test
  • qualify for apprenticeship and prepare for apprenticeship testing

HSW Essential Skills for Healthcare Support Worker Employment program:

  • build job-ready communication, digital and numeracy skills
  • gain valuable healthcare industry knowledge - home care and long-term care sectors
  • earn industry recognized certificates and build an employment portfolio

Mon, Wed, Thu 9 am-4 pm, Tue 1 pm-9 pm

  • RSW+ Adult Tutoring program is offered daytime and evening in all communities
  • CSW Computer Skills for Work program is daytime and evening in all communities
  • Sheridan College ACE and GED test prep programs are offered evenings in Milton & Georgetown
  • HSW Healthcare Support Worker Employment program is offered mornings, based on demand
