Description (Service)

Friends of Oakville Public Library (also known as the Friends) is a dedicated volunteer group. Through book sales and community initiatives, the Friends help fund and enhance various Oakville Public Library programs, services and spaces. 
 
Book Sales

Friendly Finds

  • available at all Branches (for more information visit Friends of Oakville Public Library)
  • gently used materials – books, audio books and audio-visual materials, in great condition, available for sale 

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Book Sale Volunteers - setup, logistics, cashiers and tear-down (adult & youth)
  • FOL Committee Members (adult) & Sorters - sort donations year-round (adult & youth)

Book Donations

  • Visit Friends of Oakville Public-Library Book Donations if you would like to donate books to the Friends of Oakville Public Library, please note that FOL can only sell books and other items that are in good condition
  • Donations are only accepted at Central Branch during branch open hours. Drop your books and materials off at the blue cart at the Water St. entrance.
  • If you have a large quantity of materials that don’t fit on the cart, please contact 905-815-2042 ext 5092 to arrange a drop off appointment
