Description and Service Details
Description (Service) COVID-19 Service Change: Teams of mental health and addiction clinicians are working virtually to support immediate access to assessment, virtual care and, if required, an in-person response.

FREE call in counselling is being provided via phone rather than in person. Call 289-291-5396 to be contacted by a counsellor within 24 business hours.

Offers various programs and peer support groups

Education and Training:
  • courses: anger management (currently on hold) * applied suicide intervention skills training * Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) virtual courses
  • workshops, displays and presentations on a variety of mental health issues
  • community mental health promotion
  • workplace mental health promotion

Support Coordination: 
  • one to one support for individuals living with serious mental illness * increasing coping skills * goal setting * planning * supportive counseling * education * advocacy * increasing quality of life including personal and social functioning * accessing community resources
  • Free Walk-In Counselling (provided via phone rather than in person at this time): get support with no referral or appointment necessary * service provided at different locations

Community Concurrent Disorders Program:
  • one to one support for individuals living with serious mental illness and addiction issues * increasing coping skills * goal setting * planning * supportive listening * education * advocacy * increasing quality of life including personal and social functioning * accessing community resources

Dual Diagnosis Program:
  • providing people with a dual diagnosis (mental illness and developmental disability) with opportunities for social interaction, learning new skills, encouragement of mental stimulation and physical well-being * participants must be referred and accepted into the program

Justice Services:
  • providing assistance and court support services for people who have a mental health/addiction concern are are involved in the criminal justice system
  • Release from Custody: help client who are in a correctional facility to reintegrate back into the community in a safe and supportive manner
