Offers windrow clearing services for approximately 1,000 driveways

• windrow is snow that is left at the bottom of driveways by road plows 
• priority given to residents who are unable to clear their windrow(s) with no other able-bodied person living at the address

Windrow clearing contractors are dispatched after the completion of all residential roadway plowing

• residents enrolled in the program receive windrow services for any snowfall that exceeds 7.5 cm
• residents can expect windrows to be cleared within 36 hours after the snow stops and within 12 hours of the completion of all roadway plowing
• does not clear windrows left by sidewalk plows

2025 Registration:

• for individuals unable to clear their driveways and without an able-bodied occupant in their household: Oct 2 - Oct 15
• opens to everyone without any restrictions or requirements: Oct 16 - Nov 9 (or while spots are available)

Service:

• plowing services will run from Dec 1 until Mar 31

  • Tansley Woods Community Centre, 1996 Itabashi Way, Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5:30 pm and Sat 9 am-4 pm
